Absolutely. Many of the clients we work with do not have a mental health diagnosis. We specialize in working with people looking for short-term counseling and are dealing with specific issues such as stress, multicultural issues, breakups, anxiety, depression, infertility, grief, relationship issues, family conflict, etc. We typically recommend starting out with 5 sessions of highly structured, solution-focused therapy that is tailored to your exact needs.
The length of time varies greatly between clients and what issues they are working through, including how long someone would like to spend in therapy. Our goal is to get you to a place where you are stable, empowered and consistently applying tools to maintain your freedom. The minimum number we typically see clients for is 5 sessions, if they are stable and dealing with a specific issue.
Individual sessions are 45- 50 minutes; family sessions and intakes are 60 minutes and group sessions are 90 minutes.
